Where does Judge Roy Moore stand on the issues?

ECONOMY

• Create new jobs and recruit new industry but preserve and protect existing businesses.
• Eliminate the “Business Privilege Tax”.
• Eliminate business personal property tax.
• Return to reappraisals of real property every four years.
• Hold regular legislative sessions every other year with emergency sessions called as needed.
• Lower taxes which will necessitate a reduction in the size and scope of government resulting in decreased spending.

EDUCATION

• Merit pay should be a reward for good teachers.
• Reduction in the education bureaucracy and removal of waste and corruption in the educational system.
• Parents must continue to control the education of their children and local school boards should receive greater authority over administrative matters.

GOVERNMENT

• Special interest lobbyists should not be allowed to give money or gifts of any value to legislators.
• Demand transparency in state spending and strengthen and enforce our competitive bid laws.
• Eliminate the unethical practice of “double dipping”.
• No legislator should be allowed to serve three (3) consecutive terms in the same office, a provision already in effect for other constitutional offices.

CITIZENSHIP

• Only those with proper Alabama identification should be entitled to vote.
• English should be declared our state language, required for obtaining a drivers license.
• Illegal aliens should not be entitled to work or vote in Alabama.

MORALITY

• Restore prayer and the acknowledgment of God in our schools and public institutions.
• Oppose gambling, prostitution, and pornography while ensuring that traditional marriage between one man and one woman is preserved.
• Encourage pro-life legislation and stop all state funding and assistance to abortion clinics in Alabama.
